Group Sales Account Executive - Trenton Thunder (Trenton, NJ)
POSITION TITLE: Group Sales Account Executive
RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will work in the Trenton Thunder Ticket Sales Department focusing on selling group tickets to a variety of target markets.
• Highly responsible for acquiring new group business through various selling activities such as cold calling, prospecting, networking, and face to face sales presentations.
• Creating, organizing, managing, and updating a lead list of potential group sales accounts and reporting to VP of Ticket Revenue on a consistent basis.
• Contacting/renewing assigned 2009 groups’ accounts and establishing client relationships with them for the purpose of increasing business in 2010.
• Must meet all predetermined activity goals which include outbound call volume, face to face meetings, tours of the ballpark, and networking events.
• Responsible and held accountable for achieving sales goals for 2010.
• Game day duties as assigned including pre and post game activities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent communication skills including written, face to face, and telephone.
• Positive attitude, go-getter, enthusiastic, and self motivated.
• Must possess a personal drive to go above and beyond minimum requirements and exceed levels of expectations of management and clients.
• Multitasker, excellent time management skills, organized.
• Experience with Ticketing system, TicketReturn is a plus.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 to 2 years selling to groups with a professional organization.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINNG: Bachelors degree; business or marketing preferred.
