2010 Merchandise Manager (Full-Time) - Harrisburg Senators (Harrisburg, PA)

The Harrisburg Senators Baseball Club, AA affiliate of the Washington Nationals, is seeking an energetic and responsible individual for the position of Full Time Merchandise Manager. This is a paid permanent position with a start date of January 4, 2010 or sooner.
Requirements:
Completed a four –year college degree in Retail Management, Marketing, Business or other related field. Ability to maintain flexible hours, including but not limited to, normal business hours, nights and weekends. Must provide own transportation.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and execute the entire retail operation including policies and procedures, inventory and accounting for on-site, off-site, non-game day and internet sales.
2. Responsible for receiving inventory (including physical count) and disbursing inventory via point of sale system.
3. Stocks and sets up all merchandise retail locations prior to each game or event.
4. Each game closes out retail locations by receiving money and running pos reports or compiling inventory spreadsheet for any non-pos locations.
5. Performs end of month physical count of all inventory including storage.
6. Maintains vendor files including copies of all purchase orders and invoices.
7. Approves all payables for payment.
8. Tracks via the pos system all inventory sold at a discount with coding for the purpose of the discount.
9. Tracks via the pos system all inventory comped, who requested the comp merchandise and the purpose for which the merchandise will be used (i.e. community relations, business development, fulfillment of sponsorship contract, etc.,)
10. Tracks via the pos system all inventory sold as part of ticket packages, birthday parties, family day and etc.
11. Responsible for team’s website merchandise display and sales.
12. Hire, supervise and train all part-time merchandise employees.
13. Prepares master merchandise employee schedule prior to each home stand.

Qualifications:
1. Previous retail management experience
2. Previous customer service experience
3. Self motivated and hard working
4. Strong computer skills
5. Ability to work and communicate well with others
6. Ability to multi-task and follow instructions from multiple supervisors
