The Harrisburg Senators Baseball Club, AA affiliate of the Washington Nationals, is seeking an energetic and responsible individual for the position of Full Time Intern for the 2010 Season. This is a paid seasonal position with a start date of January 4, 2010 and a TBD end date of sometime in September, 2010.
Compensation:
$1,000.00 per month
Requirements:
Completing or have completed a four –year college degree in Sport Management, Business or other related field. Ability to work within the dates listed above. Ability to maintain flexible hours, including but not limited to, normal business hours, nights and weekends. Must provide own transportation.
Responsibilities:
1. Process and deliver tickets for: season tickets, mini-plans, group outings, fundraisers and picnics
2. Sell tickets at box office window and provide first-class customer service
3. Work closely with Box Office Manager on reports and accounting of tickets
4. Work closely with Bookkeeper and Ticket Sales Manager on balancing of ticketing, database and accounting systems.
5. Assist with training and managing of game day box office staff
6. Work all Harrisburg Senators home games
7. Perform other duties assigned by the Ticket Sales Manager and Box Office Manager
Qualifications:
1. Previous customer service experience
2. Six months of cashier experience
3. Strong verbal, communication, computer and math skills
4. Ability to work and communicate well with others
5. Ability to multi-task and follow instructions from multiple supervisors
6. Proven organizational skills
7. TicketReturn experience is a plus
