Altoona Curve Ballpark Operations Assistant Responsibilities Assist the Director of Ballpark Operations in all of the following areas: 1. Cleaning of entire ballpark and the surrounding area, including the parking garage. 2. Pressure washing of entire ballpark 3. Drywall repairs and painting 4. Winterization of ballpark 5. Spring opening of the ballpark 6. Changing burned out light bulbs throughout the facility and garage 7. Coordination of game-day cleaning by outside services 8. Hiring, training, and scheduling of in-game cleaning crew 9. Hiring, training, and scheduling of game day parking crew 10. Hiring, training, and scheduling of bat boys 11. Ordering of paper and cleaning supplies for the ballpark 12. Allocation of keys for front office and select game day employees 13. The general upkeep of inflatables for game day activities 14. Job summary The Mascot Assistant will perform as our primary mascot, Boomer, at community appearances. This position will also include performance responsibilities during all 71 Thunder home games as the secondary mascot, Strike, and as a promotions crew member. The assistant will be required to make calls to potential venues to host our mascot for community appearances. The position offers candidates the opportunity to gain valuable performance experience at dozens of community events and in front of 400,000 fans during the course of the season.
