Stadium Operations Assistant (2017 Season) - Bowie Baysox Baseball Club (Bowie, MD)

The Bowie Baysox Baseball Club, Class AA Minor League Baseball Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles are seeking candidates for the seasonal position of Stadium Grounds and Operations Assistant for the upcoming 2017 Bowie Baysox season.                                 

Candidates interested in applying for this position must be able to work full-time (including all Baysox Home Games, Stadium Events and will include some Weekends and Holidays) beginning on or about May 1, 2017 through October 1, 2017 (Start & End dates are flexible under circumstance).

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Reports to Stadium Operations Manager and Head Groundskeeper
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Assist with game day facility operations and pregame field preparation
  • Oversee parking and cleaning crews
  • Assist in production, set-up, execution, and break down of other events held at the facility; including baseball games, stadium rentals, and other events (possible concerts, celebrity all-star games, etc.)
  • Must be able identify issues with the facility and correct them in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Degree in Sport Management, Recreation Management, or similar field or recent graduate interested in Facility Management.  Applicant can also have a completed trade certification. 
  • Be able to work flexible hours for stadium events (baseball and non-baseball).
  • Ability to perform various trades such as: painting, landscaping, electrical, and HVAC is desired.
  • Retain a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and well with others.

Compensation:  A monthly salary to be determined based on experience.

Video Production & Graphics Associate - Erie SeaWolves (Erie, PA)

The Erie SeaWolves, the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, are looking for two confident, dedicated students who are interested in earning credit hours by completing a seasonal learning opportunity in game day entertainment, marketing, and communications.

Video Production and Graphics Associates will be mentored by the Director of Entertainment and receive business training in a classroom-like setting.  Associates will gain experience creating video board graphics, web content, and marketing materials. Associates will use professional production equipment (cameras, Click Effects, and Tricaster), learn best practices, and participate in delivering the game presentation.

All college majors are welcome to apply. This opportunity will begin on March 1, 2017. Schedule flexibility is available during the final few weeks of the spring semester and the first few weeks of the fall semester.  Some previous experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign) and/or video editing is preferred.

Minor League Baseball can be a fun and rewarding career path, but it requires dedication and flexibility as event schedules dictate the team's hours of operation.

March 1-August 31, 2017:
Game Days: Exact hours based on game schedule.
Non-Game Days: 9:00a until 3:00p (Monday-Friday); flexible hours are available.
*Some exceptions may apply; schedule subject to change

$700/month stipend
