In addition, Thunder interns will work each Trenton Thunder home game as part of our Team Thunder staff. This creates an opportunity for the intern to interact with fans and to apply what they have learned in office to actual game time situations. Some of the game day responsibilities include: ticket taker, usher, Kid Zone, manual scoreboard, promotional handouts, on field promotions, and parking lot attendant.

Interns will work 2 days a week in the Thunder front office. Extra time will be provided to some, upon request, based on a first come, first serve basis as well as any special circumstances that may arise.

Interns will be required to make ticket sales calls each day. The Thunder will provide the intern with a list of previous/potential ticket buyers to work from. All interns will also be taught how to make sales calls and close deals. It is a process we view as extremely important and essential to working in Minor League Baseball.

Throughout the season the Trenton Thunder attend various functions such as charity events, reading programs, etc. Many of these programs require the team mascot (Boomer) to make an appearance. (Early May – at the latest) Any intern that is local to the Trenton area is also expected to work Thunder home games during the month of April. (End of August) It is also quite possible each intern will be required to sign a contract, before they start their internship, which outlines everything in this document. (I.e. start/end dates, commitment of excellence, etc)

Attendance Policy
• We will strictly enforce an attendance policy for all interns. Internship hours will be discussed and agreed upon prior to hire. In the event the intern shows disregard for this policy, we do reserve the right to terminate the intern’s employment at any time.
